We provide a complete group of offerings to streamline the road travel and camping experience. Harvest Hosts, the core product in our arsenal, is a membership that offers unique overnight stays at wineries, breweries, distilleries, golf courses, museums, and other scenic small businesses; Boondockers Welcome, a community of RVers allowing guests to stay overnight on their property for free; CampScanner, an alert service to book sold-out campgrounds; and Brit Stops, a membership connecting motorhome tourists in the UK and Ireland with small businesses for overnight stays.

In July 2024, Harvest Hosts acquired Escapees RV Club, one of the most established and respected RV clubs in North America, founded in 1978. Escapees is a membership-based organization dedicated to supporting RVers through community-building, education, and resources. What We Do: Our mission is to promote happier lives through road travel and support small businesses and communities along the way.

The Role: The Staff Accountant will be responsible for owning the full-cycle accounts payable process, accounts receivable & billings, bank & balance sheet reconciliations as well as ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This essential role will support the accounting department in various tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end closing processes. It is a full-time position and is fully remote.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and accurate invoicing and own the entire full-cycle process.
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in our ERP.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Support with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Maintain compliance with accounting policies and regulations.
Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
Collaborate with team members on special projects and process improvements.
Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations.
Other job-related duties as assigned

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1-3 years of accounting experience; internships or relevant experience are a plus.
Proficiency in accounting software, NetSuite preferred, Ramp, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines at a time.

Compensation: Harvest Hosts is a venture-backed company. Compensation will be based on experience but will range from $55K-65K annually, plus eligible bonuses.
