What we do: Our mission is to promote happier lives through road travel while supporting small businesses and communities along the way. Harvest Hosts, the core product in our product line-up, is a membership program connecting RV travelers to over 9,000 unique camping locations across North America. For a low annual fee, members enjoy unlimited stays at our 5,000+ diverse small business locations, including farms, wineries, breweries, distilleries, golf courses, museums, and other attractions, as well as 3,500+ private properties through our Boondockers Welcome upgrade product.

With the addition of our recently-acquired Brit Stops program, we now offer motorhomers in the UK the same type of membership with 1,100+ overnight stay options at local businesses. Across Harvest Hosts and Brit Stops, there are no camping fees - we simply encourage members to support their “Hosts” by patronizing the local businesses.

In 2023, Harvest Hosts launched two additional products that improve the lives of RVers while on the road: CampersCard and CampScanner. CampersCard is a campground discount and perks membership program that helps RVers save money on nights they spend at campgrounds. And our latest product, CampScanner, allows you to scan our database of campsites to get notified when a reservation opens at an impossible-to-book campground.

Who You Are:

As a member of the Host Success team, you help to drive the success of our Harvest Hosts by providing education, outreach, and technological assistance to our Host network (i.e., the 5,000+ that welcome RVers overnight). The success of our small business Hosts is critical to the success of Harvest Hosts, and in this position you will drive an immediate impact at the company. 

You will be responsible for performing outreach to our Hosts (via email, calling, and texting) to collect more information about their physical location and on-site experiences. The information collected will be used to update their Host profile on our website, with the goal of increasing the number of members that stay at their location, and thus increasing the revenue they generate through the Harvest Hosts program. In addition, you will perform similar outreach to inform them about our newest feature - Auto-Approval - to gauge their interest and get the small business set up on this technology tool. 

You will need to be a fast learner to get up to speed on the Harvest Hosts platform, as well as a clear and concise communicator, with an interest in talking to business owners on the phone, to explain the purpose of our outreach and collect relevant information in a timely manner. You will also need to be competent at navigating the multiple websites, tools, and applications necessary to perform the outreach, update Host profiles, and keep our Hosts’ information updated in our internal systems. 

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Excellent Communicator  - You have strong communication skills. You are able to understand and explain our program features and requests to non-tech savvy folks with ease.  You are comfortable with all types of communication -- email, text, and phone.
  • Focus and Discipline - You are able to self-motivate and can maintain a steady, calm pace to work through a large number of outreach efforts. You know the road is long, but you take it one step at a time.
  • Technologically Savvy - You are comfortable with navigating multiple websites, tools, and applications simultaneously to perform a variety of tasks. You feel right at home behind the keyboard and on the phone.
  • Problem Solver - You do not shy away from handling unique problems. When presented with a new situation, you are able to gather notes, relay the issue internally, propose solutions, and move forward without missing a beat. 

Bonus Points for:

  • Experience with phone outreach or face-to-face sales / support.
  • Experience with CRMs such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or Pipedrive.
  • Experience with mapping platforms like Miro or LucidCharts.
  • Experience with project management software such as Asana, Notion, or ClickUp.

What We Bring to the Table:

Harvest Hosts is a venture-backed company. This position is a temporary W2 paid internship for a period of 3 to 6 months. Compensation will be a base rate of $15 per hour. Benefits include fully remote work, unpaid time off, eligibility to participate in our 401(k) program, and a supportive team environment with A+ team members.
